MBSR is an educational program that brings a group of people together for an 8-week journey of mindfulness practice. The course consists of weekly 2.5-hour sessions, along with one additional full-day silent retreat in the second half of the program.
The intention of MBSR is to support the development of a regular mindfulness practice in both formal and informal ways. Each week, participants explore mindfulness concepts, engage in guided meditations, and discuss how mindfulness can be applied in everyday life.
This program is for adults who are interested in discovering how mindfulness can be applied in their lives. The skills are simple, accessible, and can be practiced by anyone.
MBSR is recognized as complementary to traditional medical and psychological treatments, rather than a replacement. Research has shown its effectiveness in supporting people living with:
The course teaches new ways of relating to body sensations, thoughts, and emotions.
It develops skills that help us take better care of our well-being and manage stress and adversity more effectively — whether physical, mental, emotional, or social.
Throughout the course, you will learn to be with both pleasant and unpleasant experiences with greater ease. This allows us to respond to situations with awareness rather than reacting automatically.
Participants also explore the two main ways of dealing with difficulties: either changing the situation or changing how we relate to it. Since the first option is often not available, learning new ways of relating becomes especially valuable.
Scientific studies consistently show that MBSR participants report lower levels of stress, tension, and anxiety, as well as greater concentration, empathy, and overall engagement in life. Neuroscience also demonstrates that regular mindfulness practice can lead to measurable changes in brain structure — even among those who are initially skeptical.

“At the beginning, it felt very long, and perseverance has never been my strongest quality. Halfway through, I truly doubted myself, but then something shifted and I managed to complete the whole journey. I received wonderful tools that help me in everyday life, and a new perspective that truly changed my life. I became much more aware and realized how little attention I had paid to what was happening around me — I had been living on autopilot in the hamster wheel.
I am deeply grateful for the experiences that confronted me with many unconscious patterns. They were sometimes painful, but incredibly valuable, and they allowed me to change. It was beautiful to witness my own development, to notice how I could sit through longer and longer meditations, and it meant a lot to me how kindly and acceptingly Eszter responded even when something was difficult for me.
The highlight of the 8 weeks was our shared ‘silent day,’ where many cleansing tears were shed. I am deeply grateful to Eszter for guiding me along this path — a path that led to the changes in my life I had been waiting for for a long time. I took a very brave step toward a new, more conscious life.”

“I learned to make space for something new. I was given a key that helps me stay present in every moment. I took the possibility of an inner journey home with me.”
Edina, 2021
“During the course, I learned how to turn inward and truly connect with myself. It is a great gift that I learned to relate to myself with compassion and acceptance. Through practicing awareness, it has become easier to face life’s challenges.”

"The course began at the same time as my pregnancy, which made the experience even more special — practicing meditation while carrying a growing life within me. It felt wonderful to belong to a kind, supportive group. Eszter is truly enthusiastic, knowledgeable, kind, and empathetic, and I am grateful that I could get to know the world of mindfulness through her guidance. Since then, I most often use awareness of my breathing when I feel unsettled, and in many situations I am now able to step back and observe instead of reacting impulsively. I can proudly say that I have become a more patient mother to my daughter.”

We all have different needs and learning styles. Some of us feel supported by the presence of a group, while others may feel intimidated or even frustrated. Both ways are completely valid. Individual training and group settings each have their own pros and cons. True progress lies in understanding our own needs and learning styles — and acting accordingly.
Therefore, you have the opportunity to participate in MBSR training either individually or by organizing your own peer group.
In addition, the training can be tailored to the specific challenge you are currently facing.
